Lavender Wand Making Workshop

Join local lavender grower and art teacher Mariagrace Welsh at beautiful Calgo Gardens and create a lovely lavender wand using fresh lavender!

Learn tips on growing lavender, therapeutic benefits of lavender and sip on some lavender lemonade as you learn great recipes for culinary lavender. All supplies included. Each student make their own lavender wand and will also receive a bundle of either fresh or dried lavender to take home.

Mariagrace grew up on a 200 acre vegetable farm in Monmouth County and has always loved to garden. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, she planted a field of 100 lavender plants on her family’s farm In Millstone Township. She is a passionate and award-winning art educator with twenty years of teaching experience and currently teaches grades K-2 art in Hightstown, NJ. Aside from gardening she enjoys experimenting with lavender crafts, photography and loves to travel.
