Plant Walk & Tea Meditation – August 14

August 14 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
$40
Welcome to one of the most accessible and enriching gateways into the world of herbs.

MotMot’s Plant Walk with Tea Meditation is a monthly offering throughout Summer 2025, designed for both budding herbal enthusiasts and seasoned plant lovers alike. This series offers a chance to connect more deeply with medicinal herbs—learning how to observe, identify, and engage with plants alongside Clinical Herbalist Michele Crosta of MotMot Collective. The garden you will be invited to has been cultivated the past 2 years through Michele’s hard work, hand selecting plants that she works closely with throughout her personal life, both in the soil of her garden and the rituals of her medicine making. You will have the opportunity to walk the gorgeous gardens with Michele as she points out each plant, showing stages of growth throughout the summer, teaching you to identify the herbs, and expanding on what certain plants can offer us for that month/season.

These offerings will be held for about 2 hours, first starting with a tour through the garden that utilizes all the senses to meet the herbs and learn about some of their aromatic and medicinal properties. Questions and discussing around plant identification, uses and basic gardening/potting tips can be asked during this time. After the garden tour, participants will be invited to take a seat in the beautifully prepared garden picnic space, where a tea meditation guided by Michele will be conducted. Each tea meditation will focus specifically on one herb per each month, where Michele will expand further on that specific plants’ properties, energetics and offerings.

MotMot’s Plant Walk with Tea Meditation are very potent offerings that allows each participant to utilize all their senses when learning about herbal plants, which aids in memory retention, but also opens the portal to the subtle energetics of the plant world through the guided meditation, which is equally important and could be even more powerful! When all the senses are activated —sight, scent, touch, taste, intuition—plant knowledge becomes more deeply rooted in both memory and spirit.

Tea & cups will be provided. Please bring your own journal for note taking during the plant walk or post meditation reflection. Blankets will be laid out ahead of time, but please bring a cover up or personal bolster if these items are preferred.

Limited seasonal MotMot products will be available for purchase after the event. If you’d like to pre-order items online, they can be packaged and ready for pickup at the gathering.

With a solid foundation in herbal studies from David Winston’s renowned Two-Year Herbal Studies Program and Graduate Program, Michele has honed her skills and deepened her knowledge of botanical medicine.  Her 22 hours of supervised clinical practice has provided valuable hands-on experience in applying herbal remedies to support health and wellness.  Additionally, she has delved into the art of Ritual & Smoke under the guidance of Amanda Crooke from Locust Light Farm, further expanding her expertise in herbal traditions.  Through attendance at various herb conferences across the northeast, she remains committed to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest developments in herbalism.

This workshop will be held in the MOTMOT Garden.
