Welcome Your Guests with a Dried Flower Wreath

Nov 28, 2017 | DIY

Handmade wreaths add warmth and classic charm to your home—and creating your own, customizing it using your favorite flowers, allows you to design a piece that is the perfect representation of your individual taste and style.

Simple changes can create drama and flair to reflect the season and give you added enjoyment of your wreath. The addition of foraged greens will extend the season of your wreath into the holidays.

Making a dried flower wreath is so simple. All you need is a wreath frame, some dried flowers, wire, floral glue and a little inspiration. Gathering all of your supplies ahead of time will make the process more relaxing!

Start with a plain grape vine wreath to make it easy to add and attach your flowers. Embrace the quirkiness of your wreath and choose a center point to work around.

The flowers we used are from floral farmer Dana Vargo’s Flowers from the Farm NJ. Make your selections based on your color schemes and availability.

If you dried flowers from your garden, incorporate them into your design!

Start adding greens and stemmed flowers by weaving them into the vines of the wreath.

Take a step back to view your design before it’s completed.

Make adjustments as necessary. Hang your wreath and enjoy!

Calgo Gardens is grounded in the belief that nature, art, and positive energy feed our spirits. If “earth” without “ART” is “eh,” Calgo chooses to nurture earth’s ART. Our style and feel is the result of consciously living our philosophy—harmony by design. eARTh will be alive with posts about Calgo-style garden ideas, plants and flowers we love, do-it-yourself projects, new items from THE BARN—and all the dirt (and fun!) that’s happening at Calgo!
