Cigar Box Guitar Workshop
Join John Bernyk in making your own Cigar Box Guitar!
The cigar box guitar has a rich musical history and is at the very roots of American Blues. In this workshop, you will learn more about this amazing instrument, make your own three-string cigar box guitar, and see a live demonstration of playing the cigar box slide guitar!
We will supply everything you need, including a cigar box (styles may vary), hardwood neck, hardware, guitar strings, and necessary tools, to assemble your 3-string cigar box guitar! No special woodworking skills needed! We will help you along the way!
Fee: $85 per Adult (1 guitar per person)
Parent/Child Team (under 16, 12 years recommended minimum age): $85 for 1 guitar,
$160 discount for 2 guitars)

John Bernyk started making cigar box guitars fifteen years ago and has made over 600 instruments, including cigar box, gas can, oil can, and washboard guitars. He also formed the band, Cigar Box Stompers, to spread the history and music of the cigar box guitar!
