Looking Ahead: In Bloom at Calgo Gardens in 2026

In 2026, In Bloom at Calgo Gardens continues to evolve as a destination for seasonal events, creative gatherings, and hands-on experiences rooted in nature.

In Bloom at Calgo Gardens

Located in Freehold, New Jersey, Calgo Gardens is intentionally shaping its 2026 programming to offer something slower and more meaningful—experiences that invite visitors from across Monmouth County and Central New Jersey to reconnect with creativity, community, and the natural world. Here, the gardens are not simply a backdrop, but an active part of each experience.

Seasonal Events & Garden Experiences in Freehold, NJ

Throughout the year, In Bloom will host a curated calendar of vendor markets, artisan events, and collaborative gatherings designed to reflect the seasons. These events highlight local artists, makers, growers, and small businesses whose work emphasizes craftsmanship, sustainability, and care.

One of Calgo Gardens’ most anticipated annual events, Art in the Garden, returns on April 25. Now approaching its 20th year, this spring tradition transforms the gardens into an open-air gallery, featuring fine art displayed throughout the property. Proceeds from Art in the Garden support a charitable organization, with this year’s beneficiary to be announced.

New events will also debut in 2026, including Books & Blooms on May 17—a spring book fair in Freehold, NJ that brings together independent authors, book-inspired vendors, live music, and creative workshops set among the gardens.

Seasonal favorites, such as the Halloween Farmers Market, will return alongside additional themed and large-scale vendor events planned throughout the year.

Hands-On Learning Rooted in the Garden

Education remains central to the Calgo Gardens experience. In 2026, the garden course is being reimagined to focus on practical gardening skills, seasonal growing knowledge, and hands-on learning. These offerings are designed for gardeners, creatives, and nature-lovers looking to deepen their connection to the land through guided, experiential learning.

Food, Flowers & On-Site Collaboration

Collaborative experiences will continue to expand with themed dinners, workshops, and shared-table events that connect the gardens directly to food and floral design. Ongoing partnerships with Tulip Tree Café will deepen as more produce is grown on site at Calgo Gardens and incorporated into meals, events, and seasonal programming.

A Garden Gathering Place in Monmouth County

At its core, In Bloom at Calgo Gardens creates space for people to gather—whether attending a seasonal market, participating in a class, or simply spending time in the gardens. Each experience is thoughtfully designed to feel grounded, welcoming, and connected to the rhythms of nature.

As 2026 approaches, we look forward to welcoming guests from Freehold, Monmouth County, and across New Jersey to experience what’s blooming next at Calgo Gardens.
