This hands-on workshop is designed for those eager to explore mixed media art, specifically torn paper collages.
Focusing on a variety of materials and techniques, you will engage in the creative process, blending various papers and materials with adhesive. The goal of this course is to foster personal expression, encourage creative risk-taking, and develop a deeper understanding of color, shape, depth and texture to create innovative artwork.
While you will get to take your work home, this safe learning environment focuses on process over product. We hope to create a spark and foster techniques which allow you to explore this creative outlet for yourself.
This fun two-hour class is perfect for beginners through advanced creatives!
Create a 5×7 “Seahorse” collaged canvas of your own which you take home at the end of this workshop.

Anne Paone is an artist living in Manasquan, NJ who works in watercolors, charcoals, pastels, mixed media collage, textiles, and clay. With over 40 years of experience in clay, she has created work using a multitude of methods, both on pieces that are functional as well as many decorative clay vessels. Her love of drawing started at an early age, and she continues taking classes not only to expand her skills but also to connect with others in a creative environment. Most recently, Anne has delved into the world of collage, creating mixed media pieces combining her painting talents with a newly found love of torn paper collage.
