Cold Weather Landscapes to Minimize Deer Damage

September 12, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Free

Learn how to create cold weather landscapes that will help minimize deer damage.

This free event, led by New Jersey Deer Control®, LLC staff ecologist R.J. Curcio, will help demystify the reasons why white-tailed deer wreak havoc on the landscapes they inhabit during the fall and winter months. Changes in hormones and diet are largely to blame. R.J. will discuss both how to manage deer damage as well as share the preventative measures that can be taken to provide visual interest to your landscape but dissuade further deer damage.

About the Speaker:

R.J. has years of research in deer behaviors and populations which he uses to educate others as well as help manage the damage to landscapes caused by New Jersey’s white-tailed deer. His background in wildlife behavior and botany brings a full ecological perspective to the deer repellent industry. He was awarded “Young Professional of the Year” in 2019 by the New Jersey Nursery & Landscape Association, and “Speaker of the Year” by the Community Association Institute of NJ. His articles have been featured in industry magazines such as The Landscape Contractor and Community Trends magazine as well as the front page of the Gardener News.
