Open Hive Tour – Honeysuckle Nectary

 

Learn about honeybee life and get an up close and personal look into their world!

 

We’ll learn about the daily life of honeybees and get to see them at work. Maybe we’ll even spot a queen or two! You’ll have an up close view of the inner workings of the hive and we’ll end the tour with a sweet treat .

 

After the hive tour, you can get your yard ready for the pollinators with some beautiful plants from @inbloom_at_calgogardens; Then maybe a quick bite to eat at the @tuliptreecafe, and don’t forget to swing by the gift shop for a delightful assortment of treasures. Workshop participants receive a discount at the cafe, shop, and garden center.

 

Class size is limited. Ages 10 and up are welcome. Must sign a waiver to enter the apiary. Veil and nitro gloves provided.
