When disease strikes, it effects the whole family but when Alzheimer’s strikes, it hits the caregivers particularly hard. Alzheimer’s disease is often called a family disease or the caregiver’s disease because the chronic stress of watching a loved one decline takes a toll on everyone involved. Caregivers forget or neglect to focus on their own health, needs and emotional support.
Learn about different resources while surrounded by a peaceful and nurturing environment and enjoy the opportunities for self-care and wellness.
Music, healthy food, and workshops will be offered and the event will end with a light dinner and a screening of the award-winning documentary, “ALIVE INSIDE.”
