Calgo Gardens’ Bi-Annual Art in the Garden was a day filled with fun and festivities for everyone.
Over 50 curated, local artists and artisans set up their booths which were filled with hand-made and home-grown wares for the many patrons who came to stroll the grounds of Calgo.
Calgo was ready for the event with a fresh supply of gourds, mums and pumpkins for all your outdoor fall decorating. No doubt about it, there was something everywhere you looked to make you smile all day.
Roselle Ericsson, office administrator and principle organizer for Art in the Garden, started planning this year’s fall show over a year ago and her meticulous planning made the day run like clockwork—she even planned a lot of sunshine.
Vendors offered a variety of wares from hand crafted millinery to home-grown produce. Non–profit organizations are always welcomed and Relay for Life took the opportunity to introduce their good deeds to people who were unfamiliar with the organization. Bags and boxes full of food were collected for the Howell Food Pantry in lieu of an entrance fee to the show.

People of all ages came to enjoy shopping outdoors, the live music and the sunshine. The shady porch was the perfect spot to cool off and relax and eat a delicious beef, chicken or veggie skewer from Tulip Tree Café.
Talented and local artists and artisans enjoyed the day and appreciated the opportunity to make new friends and clients. Smiles could be seen on the faces of all who attended… all day!
The variety of artistic merchandise meant there was something for everyone!
